Eight Years of JOY! Magazine

8 years ago, our Friend Erin Georgiou re-launched JOY! Magazine. This year we give praise to the Lord for what has been accomplished, by God’s grace, so far through JOY! and its Afrikaans sister magazine, JUIG!

JOY!

An average of 30,000 copies of JOY! Magazine are printed each month, this adds up to 1,100 pages per year, 330,000 copies of JOY! printed per annum.

The Power of the Printed Page
There are 42,000 words in each issue, a total of 460,000 words per year. Each edition requires an average of 20 hours proof reading. As of their January 2014 issue, JOY! has published 80 magazines - which totals approximately 2.4 million copies of the magazine distributed nationally and internationally. The industry estimate is that there are 150,000 readers of every edition of JOY! Magazine each month.

JUIG!
An average of 27,000 copies have been printed every 5 weeks of JUIG!, totaling 243,000 of JUIG! per annum. As of their January 2014 issue, JUIG! has printed 40 magazines, totaling approximately  1.08 million copies over 5 years.

Impacting Lives and Nations for Christ
The combined total of JOY! and JUIG! Magazines printed so far: 3,480,000. JOY! And JUIG! give away thousands of magazines every year (to old age homes, conferences, hospitals and prisons). They have sponsored various missionaries, community evangelism outreaches and helped to build a night shelter in Somerset West. They have taken 7 Biblical overseas tours to countries such as Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Greece and Turkey. This past year, over 3000 gifts were sent to new subscribers.

Digital International Version
A new development during the last year has been JOY! International, a digital version of the JOY! magazine that is available in America and globally for FREE on ipad and android tablet devices. Digital readers represent countries such as China, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Germany and the United States.

The Power of Prayer
The approximately 100 prayer partners of JOY! Magazine spent 12 days in fasting over the year. God alone knows how many lives have been impacted, families and congregations strengthened and communities impacted as a result of the articles and Scriptures in every edition.

Thank you for all your prayers, encouragement and support. May the Lord continue to pour out His abundant blessings on this unique ministry which is maintaining a Christian witness in secular stores and on shelves of shops and commercial enterprises, which would not normally be open for the Gospel.
