Boží požehnání je pro nás samozřejmost Dr. Martin Luther poznamenal, že v životě projevujeme určitou míru vděčnosti v opačném poměru k množství požehnání, které je nám dáno. V „Rozhovorech kolem stolu“ Dr. Martin Luther napsal: „Čím větší jsou Boží dary a skutky, tím méně bývají doceněny.“ Požehnání života, zdraví, svobody a jídla nebývají opravdu doceněny, pokud nejsou ztraceny nebo ohroženy. Protože slunce každý den vychází a zapadá, je to považováno za samozřejmost.
