HOW CAN YOU SAY THESE THINGS ABOUT SUDAN AND THE ANC? WHERE IS YOUR DOCUMENTATION? WHY DON’T YOU GIVE SOURCES IN FOOTNOTES?
Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your letter. We do appreciate critical feedback. We most certainly do seek to back up and validate our claims, and you will find vast amount of documentation and evidence on our website.
First of all, I live in Africa and our Mission is based in Africa. Much of what we report is firsthand eye-witness material. I was arrested and imprisoned in communist Mozambique. This was well reported at the time. We even enclosed some of the newspaper cuttings in the back of the book, In The Killing Fields of Mozambique. In our DVD Evangelizing in the War Zones, it includes the actual TV news clips on the arrests, abduction and imprisonments in both Zambia and Mozambique. I was personally bombed while preaching at churches in Sudan. This was written about, published in our book Faith Under Fire in Sudan and in Slavery, Terrorism and Islam. The Jeremiah Films crew was taken into Sudan. They produced the films: Sudan – The Hidden Holocaust andTerrorism and Persecution. These film documentaries are available from our mission and through Jeremiah Films.
I personally met with President Nelson Mandela and my interview with him is reported on YouTube. There can be no question as to the public record that Nelson Mandela was arrested for terrorism, and pleaded guilty to over 150 charges of public violence and sabotage. This included bombs in public places, assassinations, etc. This is a matter of public record and hardly an assertion. Even Amnesty International quoted it as amongst the reasons why they could not take his case, as he was not a political prisoner, but someone who had had a fair trial and a reasonable sentence.
Unlike many who write for a purely academic audience, I try not to have tedious lists of footnotes or endnotes, laboriously quoting sources, especially as much of our mission reports are first-hand eye-witness reports. However, if you obtain the books, DVDs and Frontline newsletters, you will see that they are well-illustrated with photographs that document every aspect of our reports, including the burning down and bombing of churches, mutilation of Christians, etc.
If you could specify what particular assertion you find hard to believe, I could happily provide you with the documentation or photographic evidence necessary.
Obviously a letter to the Editor, a short email article, or a film review, can only refer to things in general. Those who want further documentation need to get our books or the film documentaries.
May the Lord continue to lead you into all truth.
Yours for Faith and freedom
Dr. Peter Hammond
