"Another generation grew up, who knew neither the Lord nor what He had done . . . they followed and worshipped various gods . . . They provoked the Lord to anger." Judges 2:10-12
Who is raising your child? Has the TV become your family altar and the electronic baby sitter? Do you recognise the threat that the exploitative pornography industry poses to your child? Have you allowed Outcomes Based Education to use your child as playdough in their experiments of social engineering? "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. ‘Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests; because you have ignored the Law of your God, I will also ignore your children.’" Hosea 4:6 In rural Africa, threats to children often slither, sting or bite. Frontline Fellowship missionaries in Zambia, Virgil and Louise, have found scorpions in their bed and snakes in their house! One of their fears is that their inquisitive 2 year old will pick up a deadly green mamba snake.

February 2001 "If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 Lord Heal Our Land Opposing abortion is emotionally draining and time consuming. With the frequent criticisms we are subjected to, it can at times be discouraging. It would be so much more pleasant if we could just pretend that babies are not being killed by abortion. GOD AMONG THE ZULUS
Nestled amongst the rolling hills of KwaZulu Natal, is a most remarkable mission station and an on-going testimony of transformation. Since 1966, this Mission has been blessed with an extraordinary outpouring of God's grace. Tens of thousands of people, including gangsters, witchdoctors and Satanists have come to Christ through the remarkable ministries of KwaSizabantu. While KwaSizabantu Mission has never held a healing service, many hundreds of people have been healed. While the Mission does not hold deliverance services, many thousands of people have been freed from occultic bondages and found freedom in Christ there. God has sovereignly intervened and transformed many lives in miraculous ways. The emphasis of KwaSizabantu Mission is the preaching and teaching of the Bible, prayer, repentance and faith, as well as service "as unto the Lord". This Biblical simplicity and faithfulness has been mightily blessed by the Lord. Who is raising your child? Has the TV become your family altar and the electronic baby sitter? Do you recognise the threat that the exploitative pornography industry poses to your child? Is Outcomes Based Education using your child as playdough in their social engineering experiments?
In households with television, the average child sees between 15 000 to 30 000 hours of television before leaving school (Nielsen Media Research). By the time he or she leaves school the average child will have seen up to 360 000 murders and up to 480 000 sexual acts or references to sex depicted on TV (US News and World Report and Media Research Centre). During his high school years the average student listens to over 10 000 hours of music – much of it filled with sensual, immoral and occultic lyrics (Media Wise Family). "Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has blood shot eyes? Those who linger over wine, who go to the sample bowls of mixed wine. Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly! In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper. Your eyes will see strange sights and your mind imagine confusing things. You will be like one sleeping on the high sees, lying on top of the rigging. 'They hit me', you will say, 'but I'm not hurt! They beat me, but I don't feel it! When will I wake up so I can find another drink?' " Proverbs 23:29-35
It is estimated that up to 30% of general hospital admissions in South Africa are directly or indirectly related to alcohol use. "This is what the Lord says – your Redeemer, Who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord , Who has made all things." Isaiah 44:24
"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes." Romans 3:10-18 "All who hate Me, love death." Proverbs 8:36 Last year 111,528 vehicles were reported stolen in South Africa, of which 45,152 (40%) were recovered. Police investigated 44,222 stock theft cases which resulted in 7,980 court cases.
52,425 rapes were reported. 41% of all the victims were aged 18 years or younger with 14% being 12 years or younger. In the last 6 years there have been over 5,000 attacks on farmers, resulting in 771 murders of farmers. In the last 4 years 654 policemen have been murdered. Last year officially 21,553 people were murdered in South Africa. These statistics are just some of the facts revealed in the latest report from the Ministry of Safety and Security. NO JOKE There was a time, not so long ago, when Christians were known to be people of integrity – who could be trusted to keep their word. So pervasive was the Christian ethic that verbal agreements were binding and sufficient. Burglar bars, alarms and security gates were unknown and unnecessary. Women and children could walk alone without fear or danger. What happened? Now we can have Christians exalting a convicted criminal who, as a church leader, was guilty of unrepented adultery; and as a political leader, represented a political party which legalised abortion and pornography; and who was convicted of massive theft of funds designated for the poor. Despite his refusal to confess personal responsibility for his specific actions, or even to admit that he was wrong; and without undertaking any restitution, this unrepentant criminal has been welcomed straight from prison to preach in pulpits! By God's Grace, the Summit Youth Leadership and Worldview Training Course in Cape Town has been a great success. The Summit was launched by Dr David Noebel in Colorado Springs over 40 years ago. Frontline Fellowship has been conducting Summits in South Africa since 1997. Young people travelled from as far afield as Botswana and Northern Ireland. Many came through from KwaZulu, the Free State, the Transvaal and Eastern Cape. A contingent of 9 travelled through from KwaSizabantu Mission in KwaZulu. The President of the African Christian Democratic Party sent his Personal Assistant and the head of his Youth League. Numerous other ministries, including Waymakers, The Ark and SACLA sent staff members to participate in the programme. Over 100 registered for the Summit in Cape Town. |
