It was a joy and pleasure to be part of KragDag from 14th – 16th October 2021 in the Transvaal. This is an annual Expo held near Cullinan. I was invited to give a presentation on:
Resisting the Tyranny of the New Normal and Reclaiming our Freedoms.

After this presentation I took part in a panel discussion and spent the next five hours in constant conversation with participants; answering questions, giving counsel and hearing inspiring and heart rendering testimonies from those whose lives have been affected.

Our Frontline Fellowship and Christian Liberty books displays and literature tables received much interest and support. It was tremendous meeting many old friends, including people whom I had last seen in the Army, on the border.
Adversity Strengthens Character
The creativity, ingenuity and entrepreneurship on display at the hundreds of stalls and tents at KragDag were inspiring. Everything was neat, well organised, well laid out, efficiently run and the atmosphere was most positive and cheerful. Considering the tremendous opposition, threats and hostility, the bias against white farmers in South Africa and the brutal terrorism so many have endured, the resilience of these farmers is inspiring. Clearly adversity strengthens character. These farmers certainly knew how to make a plan, how to adapt, innovate, improvise and overcome obstacles. Their ability to create innovative solutions was impressive.

Free From the Masquerade Madness
It was also good to be at a major event where the people were walking around freely, without masks, smiling, greeting and engaging in meaningful discussions.
Music, Art and Culture
At the centre of the KragDag Expo was a large open-sided tent where the presentations were given. Between each presentation musical performances were enjoyed. A grand piano was on a platform accompanied by violins and other musical instruments. Many home-educated musicians enriched the event with classical music and Christian hymns. Other artists were busy painting with oils on canvas.

Resourcefulness
From water purification systems, solar energy technology, security systems, farm produce, arts and crafts, tractors, ploughs and all manner of useful, problem-solving technology demonstrated how resourceful these farmers have been. By becoming self-sufficient these Transvaal farmers demonstrate how to not only survive in a hostile environment, but to thrive and be a blessing to their neighbours and wider community.
Diverse Activities
The Bible Society had a mobile bookshop trailer at the event and there were many children’s activities from horse rides to go-kart racing, helicopter rides and some interesting animals on display.

Snakes Alive
At one point I met four teenagers walking around with large Boa Constrictor snakes around their necks. They were advertising the Crazy Creatures exhibit. It was refreshing to see so many healthy, young people, not walking around in fear with masks, but even having dangerous creatures wrapped around their necks, freely moving amongst the visitors.
Honouring the Lord’s Day
All stalls had to be packed up and the whole terrain cleared by the end of Saturday as no business was to take place on Sunday in honour of the Lord’s Day. The farm where KragDag takes place is also a popular wedding venue and has Church services held there every Sunday.

Ministry in Pretoria
In addition to my ministry at KragDag, I also had the opportunity of ministering at a house church, preaching at a congregation in Pretoria on Sunday morning, and a number of TV interviews, including on the upcoming elections and the Biblical Issues Voters Guide. They kept me busy from dawn to midnight each day with a packed and productive programme.
Upcoming Events for Prayer and Action
Please pray for our upcoming events: The Reformation Arts & Essay Competition, The Home Education Fair and Variety Concert, Saturday 30th October and Reformation Day Celebration Service, Sunday 31 October. Please also pray for the Municipal Elections on Monday, 1st November. You can view our Biblical Issues Voters Guide in a number of languages and related links, videos and presentations on www.savotersguide.org.

On Sunday, 7 November, I am invited to conduct a Remembrance Service at Fish Hoek Methodist Church. Please also help promote the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, Sunday 14 November. Visit www.idop-africa.org for articles, Bible studies, sermons, powerpoints and videos that you can use to inform, inspire and involve your congregation in praying for persecuted Christians worldwide.
Standfast on the Rock of God’s Word
As we are facing unprecedented threats to Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Conscience, Freedom of Thought and Freedom of Movement, remember the bold stand made 500 years by Professor Martin Luther before the entire ecclesiastical and political might of Europe: “It is unsafe and dangerous to do anything against one’s conscience. My conscience is captive to the Word of God! Here I stand! I cannot do otherwise. May God help me. Amen.”

Stand Up for Jesus
We need Christians to boldly stand up for Biblical Principles, to step out in Faith, to speak up with Biblical clarity and conviction and to courageously Fight the Good Fight of Faith.

Thank you very much for your prayers and for your encouragement and support.
May God continue to be your joy and strength.

Yours for Reformation and Revival
Dr. Peter Hammond

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
.”
