Should we be seeking to please the world, or should we not rather seek to please God?

“The whole world is under the rule of the Evil one.” 1 John 5:19

“Do not love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you do not love the Father.” 1 John 2:15

“To be the world’s friend means to be God’s enemy.” James 4:4
