The Great Commission… Matthew 28:18-20 We invite you to be part of an incredible journey through the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo to Kisangani. We are crossing geographical and cultural boundaries through God’s calling, so expect to be both amazed and challenged …. Revelation 17:14 "They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings — and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” SUPPORT THIS MISSION - CLICK BELOWCONGO RIVER MISSION – The Great Commission. Matt 28:18-20 Travel with us and be part of a success story by enabling us to open the portals from Cape Town to Kisangani along the banks of the Congo River, bringing Good News of Salvation to the people on the rural banks of the Congo River. Although accepting God is a free choice, we know that Jesus said, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” and I will raise him up at the last day - John 6:44 "and by Grace He confirms it again and again. Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness" The life of a professional Missionary "Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles“ (Matthew 10:16-18). Trained in all aspects in theology, the local culture of the area, we set out to prepare for each outreach trying to think of all aspects that might occur. As Missionaries we are forced to become beggars to further the cause through talking to churches organizations, & individuals who would like to see the Gospel spread, but do not have the ability. We are not all called to be Missionaries, but we can all assist in various ways. We trust God to supply our every need. Although difficult leaving our families to attend to strangers, we as Missionaries have to complete our calling no matter how difficult or fraught with danger. • The need to answer the call in obedience is paramount. El-Shaddai Projects Vision – • To assist in the development of self sustainable rural communities in Southern-Africa (i.e. SADC region, including DR Congo). Mission & Aim • To teach rural communities to use conservation agriculture to feed families. • November 2015 food security assessment in DRC found an approximately 31% decline in the number of people experiencing acute food insecurity compared to late 2014. • Nearly 4.5 million people continue to face acute food insecurity in DRC, concentrated in conflict-affected areas across seven territories. Values • Approach Christian mission with a practical skill-set to spread the Gospel. GO TEACH TRANSFORM. Those who over many centuries had bought into Christianity are confident that the truly Biblical lifestyle brings balance, progress and prosperity to all who follow Jesus Christ. “At El Shaddai Projects we share the methodology of Faith in Action” John 15:15-16 (NSV) "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will remain — so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. " When people get to know and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and resolve to obey Him, God responds by giving them the gift of His Holy Spirit – Acts 2:38 also Acts 19:5-6 To the outside world and the well-established international Christian churches in the reached world, the concept of an estimated 18 million deep rural dwellers in the Congo River catchment area seems unreal. The concept of living in isolated villages along and beyond the 1 734 km of the main navigable stretch of the Congo River between Kisangani and Kinshasa unimaginable. The 147 km from Matadi to Banana, the Atlantic Ocean, the 14 000 km of river banks along a number of navigable tributaries, are all but a faint mirage. We appeal rather that it not be ignored at comfortable missions meetings or in luxurious church headquarters. God’s calling is holy and unique. 2 Timothy 6-9 "For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time." ESPI Southern-Africa Development Outreach & Congo River Mission “Needs & Prayer List”
