Literature4Africa By God’s grace, Literature4Africa was able to organise a thousand Bibles in indigenous languages for pastors and evangelists to receive and distribute in Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Sudan and parts of South Africa. These Bibles were in Afrikaans, Bemba, Chichewa, Ndebele, Shona, Shangaan and Moru. This week we will be sending a shipment of 20 tonnes of Bibles and books across the border. Next week, we are expecting to offload another 18-tonne container shipment of Bibles and books for distribution throughout Africa. You can view pictures of the wide-ranging ministry of Literature4africa on its Facebook page here. Biblical Interpretation Workshops Over the last two months, Hunter has organised 3 Biblical Interpretation Workshops. You can obtain the Biblical Preaching Handbook from Christian Liberty Books. We are regularly uploading more lectures from the Biblical Preaching Workshops onto the www.FrontlineMissionSA.org website Vimeo page. The Back to the Bible Preaching Workshop 6-disc Boxset (with 19 lectures in audio MP3, 19 video presentations and a data disc with 4 video PowerPoint presentations, 21 lecture notes and a PDF book), is available from CLB. Life Chain in Cape Town On the first Sunday in October, we distributed over 3,000 Gospel booklets and leaflets at the busy Buitengracht street intersection between the Cape Town International Conference Centre and the Entrance to the Waterfront. You can see pictures of this outreach on the Africa Christian Action Facebook page and on Literature4Africa Facebook page. A video of this event will be available soon. March to Parliament Against Farm Terrorism We participated in the March to Parliament against the targeting of farmers, 25 October, distributing hundreds of leaflets and Gospel booklets. I was also asked to speak to the crowd at the gates of Parliament. You can read the full text of my prepared message, Successful Strategies to Safeguard Farmers from Terrorist Attacks, here. You can listen to the audio of this presentation, as given to the Reformation Society, here. To view the message as a PowerPoint presentation, click here. To view the presentation as a video, click here. Outreaches in and around Cape Town Please continue to pray for our regular outreaches every week in resistant and least reached areas in and around Cape Town. As a busy cosmopolitan port city, Cape Town has a large community of Muslims and quite a number of Buddhists and Hindus, New Agers and many more who need to hear the Gospel. Livingstone House Building Expansion By God’s grace, much progress has been made on the conversion of Livingstone House’s attic into the Upper Room Bathman Memorial Hall. We are now holding our weekly Reformation meetings in the Upper Room. Building is continuing on the Pioneers Network Recording Studio and more bedrooms for guests and to accommodate missionary volunteers. We are trusting the Lord for the resources to expand the kitchen facilities, to enable us to host more events and courses at our Mission. Radio and TV Ministry Every week I have increasing opportunities to minister on radio and TV programmes throughout the world. In addition to our regular From the Frontline weekly podcasts, I have regular invitations to speak on Radio Cape Pulpit, Radio Tygerberg, Andrew Carrington Hitchcock, Audrey Russo and frequently on Loving Life (Australia) and recently The New American. Pray for Lenora’s Health Lenora’s battle with cancer has intensified as cancer has spread throughout her right hip joint and has been causing pain and mobility issues for two years. The bones are now brittle and subject to fractures. A complex hip replacement surgery is scheduled for early December. Not that this has stopped Lenora’s Dragon boat racing with other cancer survivors. Growing Grandchildren By God’s grace, we recently celebrated our grandson, Jeremy’s, fifth birthday and Joshua’s second birthday. Our daughter Andrea, subtly announced the coming of our third grandchild by dressing her youngest son Joshua in a Big Brother T-shirt! Calvin ensures that his nephews are fit and strong with pullup bar challenges and exercises. Flame Lily Foundation As Chairman of the local Flame Lily Foundation – Cape Peninsula, my ministry amongst Rhodesians has expanded from Chaplains duties, conducting Annual Remembrance Services to monthly meetings in the MOTH hall, to writing in the Fish Eagle, contributing to Rhodesians Worldwide Magazine and helping to edit the Rhosarian. At our recent Remembrance Service, we had representatives from the Rhodesian Light Infantry, Selous Scouts, Special Air Service and BSAP participating. We are also building up a Rhodesia Heritage Library at Livingstone House and digitising Historic Rhodesia Information Service 16 mm films. This year we mark 130 years since the Pioneers first raised the flag over Fort Salisbury in 1890. This year also marks the 60th anniversary of the construction of the largest man-made lake in the world, Kariba Dam, the largest man-made reservoir in the world by volume. It is noteworthy that Rhodesia in 1960 produced more electricity than Zimbabwe is even able to today, with four times the population. This expands the opportunity to minister to fellow Rhodesians is a major answer to prayer and a very needy mission field. Biblical Worldview Summit Please pray for our upcoming Biblical Worldview Summit (4-11 January 2021). The BWS 2020 DVD Boxset is available from CLB. Our Biblical Worldview Summits have been attracting participants from around the world for over 30 years. Digital Libraries for Restricted Access Areas In association with numerous ministries and authors worldwide, we are continually expanding our William Carey Bible Institute Digital Library. Initially designed to provide educational resources to persecuted Christians in Restricted Access Areas, the resources of WCBI are now available to Christians worldwide. Digital Evangelism You will find a wide variety of Digital Evangelism resources available on our www.LivingstoneFellowship.co.za website. This includes tracts and leaflets in a number of languages which can be viewed online, or downloaded, printed, or forwarded through social media platforms. Thank You Thank you very much for all your prayers, encouragement and support, without which none of our ministries would be possible.
