Despite Lockdown restrictions, our Mission has continued to be productive and innovative in making the most of difficult circumstances, to seek first God’s Kingdom, making disciples and teaching obedience to all things that the Lord has commanded. Back to the Bible Biblical Interpretation Course Hunter is hosting a series of Biblical Interpretation Workshops at our Mission House with a dedicated group of pastors, teachers and Evangelists, who are completing homework assignments and being equipped with basic tools for rightly interpreting the Scriptures, understanding the historical back ground, the importance of context and how to compile exegetical sermons. “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 Sudan for Christ In the last month we have published articles on Floods in Sudan; Promising Prospects for Peace in Sudan and Priority Projects for Prayer and Action. Large quantities of Bibles, Study Bibles and Christian textbooks have been prepositioned for our next mission into Sudan. Dramatic developments have been taking place with the transitional government abolishing the Sharia laws against apostacy and blasphemy, which have often been used to persecute Christians. There are promising developments towards religious freedom in Sudan! It remains to be seen how consistently this will be applied, but there is widespread hope and excitement that the culminative prayers of many Christians over decades are being answered at this time. “…Cush will submit herself to God.” Psalm 68:31

Sudan's Former Dictator Omar Al-Bashir Goes on Trial “Thanks for keeping us in the U.S. informed on what is going on in Africa. Your news and ministry articles are very helpful in this regard. Much appreciated.” R., U.S.A. “Indeed, our God blesses and never fails. Thank you so much.” J.G. Bibles for Africa We praise God for the successful distribution of almost a thousand Bibles and New Testaments in eight indigenous African languages distributed to pastors, principals, Evangelists and missionaries in Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, across South Africa and in South Sudan. “The Lord gave the Word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it.” Psalm 68:11 Networking To bypass the Lockdown travel restrictions, we contacted Bible Societies throughout Africa to enquire about the availability of supplies and then co-ordinated with trusted pastors, missionaries, Evangelists, colleges and schools with regard to their needs, distribution strategy and language preferences. Then in accordance with designated funds made available by special projects sponsors, we were able to place orders for the required Bibles in indigenous African languages with six different Bible Societies. “So, then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17 “The Lord gave the Word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it:” Psalm 68:11 New Bibles for Africa Video On my first cross-border Mission to Mozambique, 1982, I was told: “The missionaries taught us how to read. But it was the communists who gave us something to read.” This shocking statement inspired me to give highest priority to providing Gospel booklets, New Testaments, Bibles and discipleship materials throughout Africa. It led me to approach authors and publishers to ask for donations of any damaged, or shop-soiled books, or those with binding problems, that they should rather donate these to our Literatur4Africa ministry. Initially, we received parcels, then mail sacks and for the last 18 years, container shipments of tonnes of Bibles and books to carefully, prayerfully and strategically distribute to those who would most appreciate, best use and apply these strategic Scriptural resources. Now Ndumiso has completed a 15-minute video documentary: Bibles for Africa. This will give you an overview and insights into some of what is involved in this far-reaching literature ministry. Please view it and share it with friends and family. If possible, screen it to your Sunday school or Bible study groups. “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of Faith.” Galatians 6:9-10 Mobilise Prayer for the Muslim World Today marks the start of Ramadan, the Islamic prayer month, normally characterised by communal prayers and sprawling night time meals breaking each day’s dawn to dusk fast. However, this year, with nearly all of the worlds’ two billion Muslims under some form of lockdown, authorities in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and elsewhere in the Muslim world have closed mosques and limited meals to homes, banning large gatherings. This is a good time to initiate focused prayer for Muslims. Click here for the Prayer Guide. Please join us in praying for the Muslim world. You can find a PDF poster designed by Frontline: Pray for the Muslim World on our www.FrontlineMissionSA.org website, to view, share, download, or print out. We are joining with other missions to the Muslim world in mobilising 30 days of focused prayer, for the Lord to do a mighty work in the hearts of Muslims worldwide. You will find articles, audios, videos and links on our www.FrontlineMissionSA.org website and on our Frontline Fellowship and Muslim Evangelism Facebook pages, to help you mobilise informed and strategic prayer for Christian communities and missionaries in the Muslim Middle East, particularly in North Africa. “Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him and His enemies will lick the dust… all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him.” Psalm 72:9-11 For your edification, inspiration and for intercession, here is a small selection of remarkable, written responses that we have received by mail, or e-mail, from friends and supporters and from the field, in the past month. Pandemic, Panic, Propaganda & Priorities Vimeo Clip & Sermon Audio “Thanks for the Vimeo clip on Pandemic, Panic Propaganda & Priorities. I really like its contextual approach. Amazing how people will not like its truthful content.” – C. True Love is the Fulfilment of God’s Law article “This is the most comprehensive and most Biblical explanation of love I have ever seen. This is a classic statement. It could be made into a brochure on Love.” – J. G., California, USA “A challenge! To fail to evangelise is 'unloving' and disobeying the Great Commission, as ordered by Jesus Christ Himself. Almighty God help me to love and obey Your Word. ‘Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.’ Proverbs 27:6.” – S. M., Kenya “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair.” 2 Corinthians 4:8 The Need for Adaptability and Innovation Amidst Disruption and Disaster Like many millions of people around the world, our plans and programmes have been disrupted by a spate of cancellations, closed venues and closed borders. Planned missions to Kenya and Sudan are now postponed because of international travel bans and country lockdowns. A number of conferences, seminars, services, workshops and education history tours have had to be cancelled in response to government regulations and venues cancelling on us. Yet, despite the extraordinary international reaction to the coronavirus pandemic, we have been busier than ever, as we seek to respond to the changing situation and new challenges with adaptability and initiative. “Come, my people, enter your chambers and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.” Isaiah 26:20 “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” 2 Timothy 2:2-3 Multi-Generational Ministry of Multiplication It is our duty and destiny to be involved in a ministry of multiplication with a multi-generational vision. We are called to be strong and to be faithful as we equip and empower Evangelists to seek first the Kingdom of God, making disciples of nations, teaching obedience to all things that the Lord has commanded. The Great Commission is our supreme ambition. Christ’s last command must be our first concern. Teaching in Remote and Restricted Access Areas “Thank you for your challenge, that all effective believing Christians should courageously reach out. More so, to the unreached in the remote and restricted access areas. WCBI & the entire Faculty support are highly appreciated. May we bear lasting fruit.” – S., Somalia |
