Wedding of Christopher and Chrizaan on 15 June 2026
Monday the 15th of June was a very emotional day as Christopher married Chrizaan. Despite intense rain the day before, it was perfect sunny weather for the outdoor wedding venue overlooking a lake in a vineyard near Paarl. We had a framed picture of Lenora on the seat next to me with a candle in loving memory of the mother who donated her kidney to save Christopher's life. At birth, the doctors gave No chance of survival for Christopher as he was born with Total kidney failure, but by God's grace, in response to fervent prayers, one of his kidneys later recovered some function with half of one kidney functioning. Christopher was regularly in and out of hospital and went through an incredible number of anesthetics and operations in his first few years of life. Both Lenora and I wept and prayed more over Christopher than all our other children combined! By God's grace, Christopher overcame all odds to become fit and healthy enough to climb mountains and earn his Black belt (second Dan) in Karate and to earn National Colours to represent South Africa overseas in international events, including in the United States, Germany and Switzerland, returning to South Africa with bronze and silver medals! Chrizaan’s Family traveled from the Transvaal for the joyful event. In his speech, her brother noted that it was no secret who The Favorite in their family was. Chrizaan’s Father had her picture as his screensaver for the last nine years! He also looked around and noted that Chrizaan’s Wedding plainly cost more than both his and his other sister’s wedding combined! In his Father of the Bride speech, Mr Kobus Myburgh showed his phone with Chrizaan’s picture and proudly related how his beautiful daughter Chrizaan was consistently head of her class and a straight A student, also excelling at hockey. Most of Chrizaan’ s 6 Bridesmaids had studied at the same Bible college as Chrizaan And the atmosphere at the wedding service was one of enthusiastic worship of the Lord Jesus Christ. Plainly, Chrizaan is An enthusiastic and dedicated Christian, a gifted organizer and both Christopher and Chrizaan radiated extraordinary warmth and love for one another. It was evident that they bring out the best in one another and both of Christopher's sisters and I expressed our conviction that Lenora would heartily approve of the new Mrs. Hammond.

Also here in Australia and in New Zealand we have and celebrate father's day in September. I also love your speech on the war against father's. It's from 2019 and it's 7 years old and it's so relevant and it's even more relevant to the current time we are living in. As fatherlessness and family break down continues to get worse throughout the world the world continues to get worse and the world continues to fall into further chaos and turmoil.
