Mission to America May 2026 By Dr. Peter Hammond Mission to America May 2026 From Cape Winter to Florida’s Summer Heat After a whirlwind of media interviews, radio recordings, packing and preparation in freezing cold winter rain and storm in Cape Town, and being crammed into a very uncomfortable middle seat on the full aircraft, by God's grace,I arrived in Florida‘s Sweltering summer heat on Wednesday, 13 May. It made quite a contrast! It was a joy to be collected at the airport by the dynamic and very active Pastor Seth Tweeddale. Seth immediately Drove me through to The Villages to address the Salt and Light political action Club. On Thursday (Ascension Day) night I gave a presentation on the Great Commission must be our Supreme Ambition at Grace Community Church, at Ormond Beach. Friday morning I was part of a men's Prayer breakfast, Spectacular SpaceX Rocket Launch Most of Friday 15 May was spent Exploring the fascinating Kennedy Space Center and at 6:00 PM I had the privilege of witnessing the spectacular launch of a SpaceX rocket. Actually with hundreds of Rocket launches behind them, SpaceX is evidently doing better than NASA, What then does one need NASA for? Private enterprise is doing better than tax payer funded state institutions. By far! SpaceX has launched over 364 rockets, including various missions. In 2025 alone, they completed 89 launches, consisting of 87 Falcon 9 and 2 Starship missions. In 2026, SpaceX maintained its position as the most active commercial launch provider, completing 107 launches from the United States and over 250 orbital launches globally It wan unforgettable experience! Not only seeing the bright flaming rocket zoom at unimaginable speed high into the sky, but to also see the booster rocket return to the launchpad with pinpoint accuracy! And to think that our prayers ascend to God even faster than a SpaceX rocket! Standing for Life in Florida Saturday morning ,16 May, I joined a pro-life prayer vigil Protest and outreach at an abortion mill in downtown Orlando. Florida has a heartbeat law outlawing abortions three weeks after conception, when the baby's heartbeat can be detected. The Abortuary had some radical pro abortion activists serving as what they call escorts, and we called deathscorts. From their tattoos they seemed to be radical feminists and transgender activists, deeply embedded in the occult. At the end of the morning which included us singing Christian hymns and choruses, distributing Gospel literature and open air preaching, these deathscourt witches declared: All the babies are dead! We can go home now! So they didn't even pretend about blobs of tissues and the products of conception. They quite openly used the term babies! Preaching, Teaching and Preparing for Battle On Saturday evening I presented a sermon on If you hunger and thirst for Spiritual Reality and Power at Oceanview Fellowship, Melbourne Beach,. On Sunday morning 17 May, I addressed the Sunday school on Let My people go! and morning worship service of Grace Community Church, Ormond Beach on Rejecting the Fake and Embracing the Real and True. Sunday evening I gave a presentation on the Best Missionary is the Bible, to Southside Baptist Church, in Orlando. Monday morning, I gave a message to a TPUSA Turning Point USA home schooling youth group on Do Not Waste your Youth, and was interviewed for radio by New American magazine Senior Editor, Alex Newman for The Sentinal. The next day, I had more radio and TV interviews. On Wednesday I flew to Tallahassee , the capital of Florida. That evening I spoke to a men's group With a fascinating group of businessmen and leaders and answered their probing questions for several hours. Thereafter I was driven overland to Georgia, to the farm of my host Pastor John Weaver where I had the privilege of spending Saturday in his Advanced Practical Pistol Shooting Close Quarter Combat training with some great Christians friends and a couple of pastors preparing to defend against home invasions and attacks on a Church scenario. Afterwards I was Sweaty & dirty after lots of running & diving, crawling and house clearance Live Fire drills & Exercises. Amidst some rain and spectacular lightening ! My clothes needed a wash & so did I. The next day, I was asked to deal with Persecution at the Foundations Baptist Church at their Sunday morning service. The sermon was followed with a time of Answering questions from the congregation. The interest in the book table was intense and it was good catching up with some old friends. In Georgia, It has been a delight to meet numerous people who had attended previous services and seminars that I had conducted in different parts of America. Between fellowship meals, Bible studies and ministry activities, such as radio interviews, I had the privilege of visiting a Confederate museum and historic battle sites in Georgia. More church services are planned for this Sunday.
