"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth..." Acts 1: 8
Dear family, friends and fellow believers
Soon I will go as part of a team of five on a mission to seven countries in Africa: Zambia, Malawi, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Tanzania; where churches and schools have expressed a desire for further Biblical training and literature resources.
We will visit different churches, ministries, schools, colleges and conferences; Proclaim God's Word to them and encourage those who already believe in Christ as our Saviour to stand firm in the Faith and to apply the Lordship of Christ to all areas of life.
We will deliver and distribute over two tons of Christian literature, including Bibles in different languages.
Abrie and Daniel will hold Biblical Preaching Workshops for pastors on how to preach and teach through the Bible in context; we will specifically be encouraging and training pastors to preach through the Gospel of John.
Talita I will present Bible stories and lessons to women and children, give Evangelism and “Animals in the Bible” presentations at school assemblies and be the team cook.
We will deliver "Boxes of love" for destitute pensioners who lost their life savings due to the economic collapse in Zimbabwe. In each box we distribute are many precious items of food, medicine, literature and other treats.
Please pray that through this Mission God will be honored and that His Kingdom will expand, that through His Holy Spirit He will prepare hearts to receive the Word of God with joy and eagerness to apply it in their lives.
That the Pastors will be encouraged to faithfully proclaim His Word in truth.
That the women and children will listen to what they learn from God's Word, remember it, and put it to practice wholeheartedly.
That God will give us strength and guidance to effectively proclaim His Word with passion and love to our neighbours.
That the Bibles and books will be delivered into the right hands and will be used to the glory of God.
For Frontline Fellowship who send us out that they will continue to honor God and receive His Guidance in the work they do.
I learned a lot at Frontline Fellowship this year. In January I attended the Biblical Worldview Summit and the Great Commission Course where we learned how to apply a Biblical Worldview in all areas of life.
It was an eye opener to see how the mass media and most schools indoctrinate people with lies and try to distract them from what is really important. We have learned how to evangelize effectively, protested in front of an abortion clinic, talked on a Christian radio station and went on many outreaches. With boxes full of books in our backpacks, we climbed Lion’s Head and Table Mountain and played "Bible smugglers" a few times in the forest.
In June I joined a South Africa mission to:
-Pretoria where I met up with the Frontline team who presented a "Biblical Worldview Summit".
-Mukhanyo's Bible College Consultation that we attended where we had the opportunity to meet pastors and missionaries from all over Africa and learn how they share God's Word in their communities.
-Addullam Mission near Secunda, where Dr Hammond gave a presentation and we did children Evangelism during the school assembly and delivered Christian literature.
-KwaSizabatu Mission in KwaZulu-Natal where Dr Hammond gave presentations at their youth conference. We also gave lessons at their mission plant in the Tugela Valley, and we received a tour through their richly blessed and diverse farm.
-As well as many other places where we distributed two tons of Christian literature during the mission.
-Port Alfred where we distributed literature and Dr Hammond presented a lecture on a Christian Lifestyle.
-Wolves Rescue Centre where we stopped on our way back to Frontline's headquarters in Cape Town. We learned a lot about wolves, their history in South Africa and how wonderful God made them.
I am currently doing the Missionary Apprenticeship Training Program where we learn Biblical Theory but also do a lot of practical work such as outreaches, and now I am currently preparing for the mission through Southern Africa.
