![]() Dear Friends Please Pray for Abrie’s Upcoming Africa Reformation Overland Mission In mid-August, Abrie, Daniel, Tobie and Alieske will be embarking on a seven-country Africa Overland Mission to Zambia, Swaziland, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Botswana, and Namibia. Ulrich Zwingli brought Switzerland back to the Bible through expository preaching - by preaching verse by verse through the New Testament, starting in Matthew one, verse one on the first of January 1519. As next year is the 500th anniversary of the launch of the Swiss Reformation by Reformer Ulrich Zwingli, our team will be particularly focussing on conducting Biblical Preaching Workshops for pastors. Abrie and Daniel will be teaching them practically how to interpret the Bible in context, and preach expositionally. He will challenge them to preach through the entire Gospel of John to their congregation and will help get them started with resources to do this. Please pray that God will be glorified and His Kingdom extended. Pray for God’s blessing on the pastors’ conferences that they will be speaking at, for smooth border crossings, for wisdom in distributing the two tonnes of literature they will be taking with them and that they will have many opportunities to share the Gospel along the way.
Boxes with Love for Destitute Pensioners A highlight of any mission, is to deliver Boxes with Love to pensioners who have lost their life savings due to the collapse of the economy of their country. Part of our ministry is to bring relief aid to these people in need. In each donated package, we distribute food, medicines, literature, and other treats. The elderly are always so grateful and it is a privilege to spend time ministering to and fellowshipping with them Book and Audio-Visual Resource Sales Fund Missions Did you know that all proceeds generated from books and audio-visual resources sold through Christian Liberty Books supports Evangelism and Missions throughout Africa? In 36 years, Dr Hammond has never taken royalties for any of the over 50 books and Manuals he has authored. Everything is ploughed directly into the Mission. Our Christian Liberty Books ministry is a not-for-profit ministry and any funds generated are always ploughed directly into Missions. Please consider perusing www.christianlibertybooks.co.za for a gift for a friend or family member and help fund the upcoming seven-country overland mission. Women’s Day Outreaches On Thursday, 9 August, Women’s Day, Africa Christian Action will be setting up literature tables in three different shopping malls in the Cape Town area: Longbeach Mall (Noordhoek), Parow Centre and at one other mall. This is also a great opportunity to reach unchurched people. We will be distributing free literature to all interested people, primarily focusing on informing and motivating people to make a difference in stopping human trafficking. We have included a Gospel message in our Stop the Traffick! Tract that is distributed to over 5,000 people at these outreaches. Free balloons, with anti-trafficking, pro-family messages and Scripture on them will be distributed to children – this proved to be a huge attraction in the past. Funds allowing, as part of the outreach, free roses will be given to women. Pray for Funds Our Mission Manager, Colin Newman, recently alerted us to a serious financial need that we are facing at the Mission. Since Frontline Fellowship began 36 years ago, the Lord has always been faithful to provide for us. We seek to follow Hudson Taylor’s principles of concentrating on the work and trusting the Lord to provide all our needs through the free will offering of those who support our Mission. However, there are not yet enough funds for Abrie and the team even to reach the first scheduled country. As things stand at this moment, we need funds to enable all these missions and projects to go ahead. Would you prayerfully consider investing in this important work for the expansion of the Kingdom of God? “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account…” Philippians 4:17 The bank details for those who want to support any of the projects are: Acc. Name: Frontline Fellowship First National Bank – Rondebosch Branch code: 201509 Acc. No: 5017 0589 260 Reference: (Initial & surname PLUS what it is for) Thank You Thank you for your prayers and support. It is greatly appreciated. You are in our thoughts and prayers. “Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honoured, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have Faith.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 Abrie and Taryn Lourens Frontline Fellowship PO Box 74 Newlands 7725 Cape Town South Africa Tel: 021-689 4481 E-mail: info@christianaction.org.za Web: www.christianaction.org.za www.frontlinemissionsa.org Join us on Facebook
