How Your Prayer & Support Helped Deliver the Largest Shipment into an Officially Islamic Country4/7/2019 ![]() “Sing to the Lord all the earth, proclaim the Good News of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” 1 Chronicles 16:23 Dear Friends and Family Thank you for praying for Abrie’s recent Mission to the Nuba Mountains of Sudan (visit www.frontlinemissionsa.org for reports and pictures) and for us as a family. This mission was especially significant, as Abrie, Ben, Daniel and John had the privilege of distributing the largest shipment of Bibles and books ever delivered in an officially Islamic country. By God’s Grace, your prayers and support made this mission possible. You can listen to Abrie’s interview on Frontline Fellowship’s From the Frontline Podcast for testimonies and prayer requests.Thank you also for how you have prayed for and supported us in our local outreaches in this first half of the year. ![]() Adventures of a Toddler On 7 July, Emma will be 18 months old (a year and a half!). This is a significant stage, as toddlers grow in leaps and bounds (literally) in their abilities. Apart from running around and climbing on furniture (when she gets the opportunity), she is engaging in some pretend play. Emma is very kind in making sure her teddies and baby (dolly), are well fed with snacks and water. Emma’s vocabulary is also developing rapidly (although she can still understand more than she can express in words). Her three current words also correspond to her three favourite things: dee-dee (kitty), eeees (keys) and eddy (teddy). A bah-bah is a chicken (mimicking my attempt to make the puck-puck sound of a chicken). We have enjoyed regular walks to parks nearby and kicking a ball in the garden. Mothers’ Groups Taryn has enjoyed learning about motherhood and early childhood development in three different weekly mothers’ groups. A 9-week educational playgroup, our weekly church’s Moms and Tots Bible Study and also the Frontline Moms group (every second Thursday). ![]() Marie Stopes Abortuary Has Moved into Our Neighbourhood! Marie Stopes abortuary recently moved from Cape Town CBD central to the Rondebosch Medical Centre (about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive from our Mission HQ). Ironically it is located opposite the Red Cross Children’s Hospital where they are trying to save children’s lives! Whilst it is tragic to think that babies are being murdered in our community, it does mean that we can do more regular outreaches outside there, without having to battle inner city traffic or struggle to find parking. It is funny to think that Marie Stopes staff probably thought they had got rid of us pro-lifers when they moved! They probably did not know that the Africa Christian Action headquarters is only a few kilometres away! The abortuary itself is unfortunately tucked away in the back of the building, so the Marie Stopes customers won’t hear our open-air preaching directly, unless they walk past us outside. However, it is close to a major traffic intersection and there are two big shops close by. “Rescue those being led away to death…” Proverbs 24:11 Bo-Kaap Outreaches This year, together with the other interns, Abrie has also participated in several outreaches to Bo-Kaap – a Muslim stronghold of Cape Town. Through going door-to-door, they have been able to build friendships with several Muslims and have done a number of follow-up visits. Two of our interns were even invited to supper at one family’s house during Ramadam. ![]() Other Prayer Requests:
