We have been promoting 2017 as Reformation 500 for many years, actually, since my Mission to Europe in 2005, so it is understandable that we have received many invitations to conduct Reformation 500 conferences in so many countries.

Across the Atlantic
The day after Resurrection Sunday, I flew off to Pennsylvania, where I was a speaker at the Reformation 500 Conference. Leaving Cape Town after an intense flurry of activity, I had hoped to catch up on some sleep on the International flights, but that was not to be. The seats were so crammed that one cannot help but be jostled, bumped and pushed by passengers to the left, right and behind. Being a light sleeper I found it impossible to sleep for more than a few moments at a time before being jostled by one of the neighbours in such close proximity on these crammed flights. There was also a lot of intense traffic in Philadelphia and my host, Ben Francis and I, barely had time to quickly change and dash off to make the evening meeting of the Reformation 500 Conference. At that stage I had been awake for 2 days and nights.

Reformation 500 Conference
This was held in scenic Lancaster County amidst Amish and Mennonite communities. Benjamin organised educational activities of printing and woodcuts, copying Scriptures with quills and bottles of ink and educational projects that had the students scouring the over 40 Reformation displays he and his family had put together in a major labour of love throughout the previous year. I decided to take the home schoolers exam and sat down thinking I could complete it all from memory. However, Ben’s questions were so involved and demanding that I found myself only able to answer half from memory and for the rest needed to carefully read the displays on the Reformation in Hungary, Spain, Sweden and Italy, to find the required answers!

<div style="height: 20px; My answer was: The Reformers did not kill anyone for their faith. The early Anabaptists were violent revolutionaries. Thomas Muntzer and John of Leyden, who incited the Peasant’s Revolt of 1524-1525, have been claimed by Frederick Engels and Karl Marx as “the world’s first communists”.

Violent Revolutionaries
Muntzer issued proclamations damning all land owners, magistrates and Reformers to death: “I would like to smell your frying carcass” he wrote to Luther. This was a matter of resisting violent revolution by communists. Just as it would be unfair to confuse the later generations of pacifist Anabaptists with these violent revolutionaries, it is not fair to blame Reformers who opposed the violent revolutionaries with interfering with the religious freedoms of the later pacifist Anabaptists.

Anabaptists Only Flourished in Protestant Countries
The fact is that Amish and Mennonites only flourished in Protestant controlled areas. The loss of General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson to friendly fire after his extraordinary victory at Chancellorsville, just two months before the battle of Gettysburg, deprived General Robert E. Lee, of his most successful commander. As gifted as Robert E. Lee was at strategy, General Jackson was one of the most gifted tactical commanders of American history. Many military historians are convinced that had Jackson been at the battle of Gettysburg, he would have ensured that General Lee’s order to seize the high-ground was fulfilled on the first day. That would have doubtless reversed the situation, where the Union army would have been forced to fight up-hill to seize the high-ground. Failure to promptly exploit an enemy’s retreat and seize strategic ground swiftly, can determine and doom a campaign. Back in 2008, I had the privilege of being given a personal guided tour of the Creation Museum by Answers in Genesis Founder, Ken Ham. Many additions and expansion have been made to the extraordinary Creation Museum since. I enjoyed an hour-long interview with Ken Ham in his office and then met with his brother, Steve Ham, the International Co-ordinator of AIG and Mark Looy, Co-Founder of AIG. Tim Chaffey, Content Manager of the Ark Encounter, gave me a personal guided tour of the spectacular, made-to-scale Ark.

The Ark Encounter
The Ark Encounter is the largest free-standing timber-frame building in the world: 510 feet long, 85 feet wide and 51 feet high – based on the Bible’s dimensions (300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high). 3.1 Million board feet of timber was used for the Ark structure. Amish craftsman and carpenters were primarily responsible for the construction of what is now the largest timber-frame structure in the world. The Ark includes 290,000 board feet of bamboo flooring, 300,000 screws, 50,000 wood-pegs, bolts, washers and nuts and 66 huge lodge poles (each 55 feet tall).

Empowering Education
The Ark’s 132-exhibit bays house world class exhibits with fascinating details on geology, history, technology, the world before the Flood, how the Ark could have been built, ventilated, lit, provided sufficient food and water for the thousands of species, comparisons with other Flood narratives in different cultures around the world, the post-Flood world, Babel, the evidences for a world-wide Flood and much more. Having spent two days carefully examining every exhibit on the Ark Encounter, I have no doubt that one can learn far more from a thorough exploration of the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum than most students could learn in a month, or even a year, in the average classroom. It is an absolute must for home educators and Bible students.

<div id='388380004596134738-gallery' class='imageGallery' style='line-height: 0px; This was my fifth mission in five months. With a whirlwind of writing deadlines, printing projects and outreaches, it seemed that I had barely unpacked from the Mission to Kenya then I was racing off to the airport again to fly all across to the West coast of America, to Seattle and from there to Idaho. I left Cape Town exhausted and being squeezed into middle seats on the long international legs of this journey, bumped and jostled from all sides ensured that I arrived even more tired and jet lagged.

Old Paths Christian History Conference
Roadworks and repairs at the Spokane airport complicated the curbside pickup by my local hosts but the warm welcome from Pastor Campbell made it all worthwhile and we headed through to set up for the Old Paths Christian History Conference. Pastor John Weaver was already there and we enjoyed a good time of catching up and strategizing how best to respond to the challenges before us. I enjoyed John's presentations on The World and Times of Jesse James, on Secession and the Puritans' Vision of Victory. My subjects were: Propaganda in the World Wars; the Assassination of General George Patton, A History of Body Piercing and Tattoos in Pagan Culture and Hope and Vision for the Future from the Life and Writings of Doctor David Livingstone. Some homeschooling families had travelled from California and Arizona to participate in this History Conference. One large home educated family had driven through from Canada. The question times, fellowship and interest in the new resources on our book table were intense and the days were full. After the conference, at the pastor's house, numerous delegates came through and continued an all evening question and answer discussion time which covered a wide range of important subjects and challenges.

On the Road
The next morning I was grateful that so many books and audio materials had been sold at the conference, because the dull backache that had been growing through the transcontinental air travel was now sharp and acute. Being very careful to bend with my knees and not with my back I negotiated the luggage (which is always mostly literature) for the flight to southern Idaho.

Time Zone Confusion
What I must have missed was that the state of Idaho actually has two time zones. Having travelled from North to South it did not cross my mind that we could have changed time zones. Fortunately something prompted me to check my Skype connection an hour early to ensure that I was ready for the Going Global radio interview, only to be surprised that the interviewer was trying to get hold of me. Thinking that there had been a mix up in the radio appointment times, I launched straight into the hour long programme dealing with Slavery, Terrorism and Islam - Have fundamentalists distorted Islam, or is Islam bent on global conquest? After the radio programme I commented on how strange it was that it came an hour earlier than scheduled and it was then pointed out that we were actually in another time zone from Northern Idaho!

Schools, Services and Seminars
My host in Boise, Idaho had organised a whole series of school, church and radio meetings. As a result I arrived back at my host's house late for a scheduled Skype radio interview. Sometimes schedules can be unreasonably packed and it is just not possible to do everything! It would not have been right to cut short the responses and prayers of people who had travelled from so far and wide for the midweek service in order to make a radio programme. Fortunately the interviewer was understanding and is a friend who regularly interviews me. So we could reschedule for another time.

MAF and Radio
Also in Boise I was able to meet up with our good friend, John Boyd, the president of Missionary Aviation Fellowship and some of his key people concerning projects, priorities and plans for the field. The hour radio interview with Matt Slick Live on Faith Under Fire in Africa on Inspirational Family Radio was wide ranging, fast moving and intense as we confronted the intense cultural war raging around us seeking to apply Biblical principles to all areas of life.

Mobilising Churches to Rescue Those Being Led Away to Death
On Thursday my host arranged for us to attend a premiere film screening of Voiceless - an inspiring drama about a church worker in Philadelphia who tackles the issue of abortion and the devastating consequences it has, not only for the people involved, but for the community as a whole. Phil Kayser spent the first eighteen years of his life being raised on the mission field in Ethiopia. When people say: You do not know what it is to be a minority, he can respond: Actually I do! Dominion Covenant Church has a wide ranging Ministry, including into Asia and Restricted Access Areas. They had arranged a seminar for the Saturday where I was invited to speak on The Church Fathers of North Africa, The Christian Civilisations of Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan, The Eschatology of Victory in The Greatest Century of Missions and Reformation 500.

Literature Ministry
The Dominion Covenant people and guests at the seminar cleaned out most of the rest of my literature which was a great relief as my back was still throbbing. However, I could not help but pick up lots more literature for our Mission Library from Phil Kayser and Robert Fugate - both of whom are excellent authors with a refreshing Biblical approach to a tremendous range of vital subjects.

Aim and Impact
After the seminar I was whisked off to a nearby farm where we were able to get in some shooting practice with clay pigeons. Something I have never done before. With a wide range of weaponry we took out the waves of orange disks launched into the air and had the satisfaction of seeing them shattered into small pieces with rapid snap shooting.

In Unity is Strength
Sunday was a long day. Dominion Covenant has a gifted worship team with a wide range of musical instruments. They play with skill, leading from the rear of the congregation. The responsive Scriptural readings and prayers, including imprecatory prayers and singing Psalms wonderfully prepares one for worship in Spirit and in Truth. I presented the sermon: In Unity is Strength from Philippians 1:27-30. After Fellowship lunch the congregation came back for an open time of discussion with questions and answers based on the sermon. After that those who were interested gathered at an elder's house where we engaged another five hours of open discussion/question and answers where I sought to respond to Doctrinal, Historical and Socio-Political questions. The Great Commission is about making disciples of all nations, teaching obedience to all things the Lord has commanded, therefore it is essential that as Christians we know how to apply Biblical principles to every sphere of life.

Home Education Leads to More Vigorous Discussions and Debates
It is clear that Dominion Covenant Church is a congregation of home educators. Despite battling two terminal diseases: cancer and a serious heart complaint, both Bill and Harriet Bathman are in good spirits and still enthusiastically involved in the Lord's work. They had arranged for me to speak the next morning to missions minded members of the Village Chapel. Allen Baker was our special guest speaker at this year's Great Commission Camp and Course. He made a tremendous impact amongst all of our participants and we thoroughly enjoyed undertaking open-air preaching with him at the Waterfront and outreaches throughout Cape Town. Rev. Allen Baker is a Teaching Evangelist of the Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship. All of our staff agreed that we should invite him to be part of every Great Commission Camp and Course in the future. It is always a joy to meet with such like-minded, dedicated missionaries, zealous for Evangelism, with a comprehensive understanding of fulfilling the Great Commission. When an invitation arrived for me to be a speaker at the upcoming Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship Family Conference at Covenant College, on Lookout Mountain, Georgia, it was clear to me that this was God's timing and July was set for my Mission to America.

BA Computer Failure at Heathrow
The extraordinary long lines at the British Airways check-in counters in Cape Town alerted me to a serious problem. Soon it was announced that British Airways was suffering a complete computer failure shut-down as they had rolled out their new improved software! My experience at check-in at Cape Town was minor compared to the chaos at London's Heathrow Airport. There I was informed that my flight to the States had been cancelled and there was now an extremely tight connection that gave me barely twenty minutes, after clearing customs and immigration in the US, to run for the next flight, at another terminal. I was not surprised when my luggage failed to arrive at the final destination.

Church Planting
However, it was good to meet up with Al Baker and begin the tremendous times of worship and ministry which he had lined up for me in Alabama and Georgia. The next morning my first meeting was with the Alabama Church Planting Network, a dedicated group of Evangelists who regularly meet together to strategise and pray for their various church planting initiatives. I was asked to deal with World Missions and successful examples of church planning in Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, Sudan and Eastern Europe. That time of discussion and prayer went for over four hours.

The Power of Prayer to Change History
We were then off to Huntsville, Montgomery to meet with a dedicated pastor and then conduct a home meeting. There I was able to deal with Bringing Down of the Iron Curtain in the 1980'sthrough the Seven Year Jericho Prayer Focus, Revival Prayer and Changing World History Through Prayer. At another home fellowship meeting I dealt with Jesus Christ is Building His Church and the Gates of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against It.

Radio Interviews and Services
During the days I had a number of radio interviews focusing on the persecution of Christians in North Africa and the Middle East by Islamic Jihad and how Christians can intelligently pray and practically help our beleaguered brethren under fire. Al Baker arranged for a number of interviews with other missionary-minded pastors and Evangelists who share our vision. On Sunday I was ministering at two separate congregations in Birmingham and Huntsville, dealing with The Church under Fire and The Greatness of the Great Commission.

To Covenant College
Then on Monday 25 July (the 23rd Anniversary of the Saint James Massacre in Cape Town) we drove across scenic Alabama into Georgia to Covenant College on Lookout Mountain. There the Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship (PEF) Family Conference was welcoming their guests from as far afield as Great Britain, India, Brazil and Mexico.

Paintball Battles
Some of the youth were wanting to know if I would be willing to join them for their paintball battles. I immediately told them that they could count me in and accumulated an impressive array of bruises during these war games in the forest. I was more than double the age of the other participants, but perhaps had the unfair advantage of having combat experience in the field. It is quite nice when the worst that can happen to you, as a result of one's recklessness, is a few cuts and bruises!

Mobilising Missionaries
Each day of the conference began at 6:30am with Revival prayer. I gave presentations on Making Disciples of All Nations, The St. James Massacre, The Challenge of Dr. David Livingstone Todayand Spiritual Stamina. To the youth, I gave presentations on Biblical Principles, Scenarios and Drills for Self-Defense and Evangelism Explosion.

Plans Can Change
Tuesday afternoon was an interesting example of how one needs to be ready for anything. The PEF Conference delegates were informed that each afternoon was set aside for open-air preaching and Evangelism in downtown Chattanooga. I was looking forward to that when I received a request to give a presentation to the Youth at the same time. No problem, I could re-orientate. Next thing Al Baker informed me that I had a meeting at 2pm. I confirmed that I knew about it. When later he told me who my driver would be, I realised that there was some misunderstanding and asked why I would need a driver to reach another part of the Covenant College campus? He told me that I was meeting with a pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Chattanooga. Alright, I just needed to re-schedule the Youth meeting. When I walked into the Presbyterian Church in downtown Chattanooga and saw a whole group of people assembled before a lectern, with advertisements of the Missionary speaker from Africa in front of them, I realised that I was expected to give a presentation!

Ready for Anything
As Francis Grim of Hospital Christian Fellowship, under whom I was mentored, often told me: a missionary must be BA and RFA: Born Again and Ready For Anything. Evidently, Al Baker liked to keep me on my toes. I gave a presentation on how I was converted and called and some of what I had witnessed of the persecuted Church in the field, what we can learn from them and how we can best serve the suffering. The question time was dynamic and fast-moving. Before I knew it two hours had passed of productive ministry at this unexpected event.

Mobilise to Evangelise
Covenant College was an inspiring venue for this tremendous conference. The times of fellowship with colourful characters from all over the world and learning of their intriguing testimonies and vibrant ministries was most uplifting. The Commissioning Service on the final night was very moving and one could only praise God for the Theological depth and wide Missionary vision of the PEF. We concluded with the Hymn: So Send I You.

Battle Site in Tennessee
No sooner had the PEF Conference concluded then Trey and Lindsay Schultz, who I had last seen at our Great Commission Course in Cape Town, arrived and informed me that they were my transport to Christ the King Church, in Tennessee. As we sought to catch up on some of what had happened in the preceding six months, they thoughtfully stopped off at the battle site and museum overlooking Chattanooga. My father-in-law, the Chairman of the Board of Frontline Fellowship, Rev. Bill Bathman, was brought up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Evidently this was once a strategic battleground during the War Between the States.

Summit
In Tennessee, Geoffrey Botkin organised and hosted a Summit throughout Friday and Saturday, with participants driving in and flying in from far and wide. At the Summit I was asked to give presentations on Revival in the Bible and in History, How Civilisations Commit Suicide, Steps to Reformation Today, God and Government, The Threat of Global Islam and To Change the World. For the Sunday sermon I expounded on Jeremiah 3: Just How Did we get into this Situation? Each day was full, with discussion times lasting from 8 in the morning until midnight and frequently to 1am or 2am.

Burning Questions
Some of the burning issues which we discussed were: Common sins of our congregations and priorities for congregational repentance. Where does our country stand in Covenantal Judgement? Threat assessments of what is facing our communities and civilisation globally. Where and how is God working today? Where is the Gospel bearing fruit today? Where and how is evil being manifested without being adequately addressed by the Church? Where is persecution currently the heaviest? Where are our local communities making the most progress in local governments, for de-centralisation, for freedom and justice? How are they doing it? How can we be more effective at discipling the nations? During these open times of discussion we received special live briefings via Skype from Dr. Dallas in Washington, from the Institute for Disaster Management and updates from other guests, including from Great Britain.

<div style="height: 20px; During this time I undertook 13 flights, ministered in 6 states, at 10 churches, was the key-note speaker at 3 conferences, presented 18 lectures, 12 TV interviews, 5 radio programmes and 15 home meetings: a total of 60 meetings throughout Nebraska, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Arizona and California.

A Time of Crisis
This Mission to America coincided with a number of crises. This included: the war in Syria and serious threats from the American president to bomb Syria. The Islamic terrorist attack on Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya. And the confrontation between the Republican dominated House of Congress and the Democrat controlled Senate and White House over excessive spending and the ruinous costs of Obamacare.

Selective Shutdown
Although there was much talk about the government shutdown, it was evident to me, as a foreign traveller, that the US government had by no means shut down. Their TSA agents were still harassing and molesting passengers at airports, the IRS were still overtaxing the population, their teachers were still indoctrinating children in evolutionism, situation ethics, propaganda for perversion, and brain washing them in the new world order version of history. The partial shutdown seemed to be mostly a farce. Congress remained open, the White House remained operational, the police stations and post offices were still open, but, incredibly, open-air monuments were declared closed!

Closing Open-Air Monuments
One would have thought that it cost more funds, and involved more staff, to barricade off and police open-air monuments and national forest reserves than to allow the public normal access to these open-air areas. The extraordinary lengths gone to by the US government to barricade off War Memorials and Nature Reserves, even going as far as to close the roads that ran near Mount Rushmore (in case travellers could see the cliff faces from a distance) made it clear that this was nothing to do with a government shutdown, but everything to do with petty and manipulative party politics.

When Australia Faced a Shutdown
I pointed out to a number of Americans that when the Australian parliament was at a deadlock facing a government shutdown over an inability of the branches of government there to agree on a budget, the Queen fired the Prime Minister, had the parliament dissolved and ordered fresh elections. Interestingly enough, there has never been another government shutdown in Australia since 1975.

Bankrupt Policies
Wherever I travelled in the USA, I witnessed intense dissatisfaction of the Americans at their government. The overwhelming conviction of most whom I spoke to was that their president was hell-bent on bankrupting the country with ruinous and unworkable policies. The United States owes more than it is worth. The national debt is officially 110% of its Gross Domestic Product. By way of contrast, Russia’s national debt is less than 10% of its GDP.

Spending Like Drunken Sailors
One would have thought that a country spending more than it earns, which is effectively bankrupt, would be cutting spending. However that is far from the case. Their president even wants to raise their debt limit. The public debt of the USA is now well over $16 Trillion. To put that into perspective, the national debt in 1980, which was considered catastrophic at that time, was $1 Trillion.
Obamacare by the Numbers
The estimated cost to taxpayers for the marketing, advertising and publicity campaign promoting Obamacare is: US$684 Million! The largest abortion provider in America: Planned Parenthood, will receive US$67 Million, along with other groups, under Obamacare. US$1 Trillion in new taxes need to be collected under Obamacare during the next decade. Obamacare will require a 41% average premium increase for individuals buying medical insurance. Delta Airlines predicts that their medical insurance costs will increase US$100 Million over the next year, because of Obamacare. Many companies are drastically cutting staff as a result of the demands of Obamacare and the net result is millions more unemployed.

Extravagant and Irresponsible
One would have thought that a country so deeply in debt and living so extravagantly beyond their means would, at the very least, cut its welfare and entitlement grants, foreign aid and funding of the United Nations. For some obscure reason, the United States taxpayer is expected to fund virtually every government on the planet and ends up paying for both sides of most wars.

Money for War But Not for Nature Reserves
Many commented on how strange it was that barely a month before the president had been hell-bent on starting a new war with Syria. Yet now, faced with congress insisting that he cut spending, was mobilising personnel to barricade off open-air monuments! Only the timely intervention of Russian president Vladimir Putin, prevented America going to war with Syria.

The Divided States of America
Many Americans are openly talking about secession. Large numbers are stock-piling supplies expecting a break down of the social order and perhaps even a new civil war. Numerous Americans expressed the conviction that, if present trends continue, the United States of America cannot continue to survive in its present form.

Secession Seriously Considered
Just as the Soviet Union split in the 1990s, with Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania attaining independence, and the Ukraine, Belarus and other republics breaking away from the Soviet Empire, numerous Americans that I spoke to believe that something similar may happen to the USA in the near future. Numerous states in America have passed legislation overruling Federal regulations. It was clear that I was travelling through a country in serious conflict. The USA is in the midst of a political crisis, an economic crisis, a moral crisis, and most seriously of all, a spiritual crisis.

Providential History Festival
My first conference was the Providential History Festival in Omaha, Nebraska, where home schoolers put on a fascinating series of plays, dramas, vignettes, displays, speeches, and interactive programmes. I delivered presentations on: The Life and Legacy of David Livingstone, Victory Over Islam – The Great Siege of Malta, Through the Dark Continent – Incredible Adventures of Henry Morton Stanley, and How the Vikings Were Won to Christ.

Dynamic Home Schoolers
It is always refreshing to see the dynamic innovations and enthusiastic presentations of history by home schoolers. The Home Schooling movement in the United States of America is producing a new generation of Bible-believers who understand the times and who love the Word of God.

Who is to Blame for the Chaos in America?
Surveying the moral chaos in much of America, it is tempting to place most of the blame at the foot of Hollywood. The godless distortions of history and blatant promotion of perversion and blasphemy by all too many of the studios in Hollywood have certainly played a major role in corrupting the morals and confusing the minds of most in America. However, I believe that the godless secular humanist education system in the United States has done even more damage to the minds and morals of Americans than even Hollywood has.

Facing the Failure of Our Churches
However, having said that, it is my conviction that the real problem is not so much these external evils. Secular humanism, communism, radical Islam and other false religions are not really the main problem. The catastrophic collapse of Western civilisation in recent years is probably more to be laid at the steps of a back-slidden, distracted, apathetic, and, in all too many cases, apostate church. If the Christian Church was doing what our Lord has commanded, then these false religions and anti-Christian ideologies would be in defeat and retreat.

The Curse of Compromise and Cowardice
It is the basic failure of our churches to make disciples, teaching obedience to all things that God has commanded, that lies at the root of this catastrophic situation. The salt has lost its savour. The light is being hid under a bushel. The last command of Christ is not the churches first concern. The Great Commission is not the supreme ambition of most congregations. Compromise and cowardice are pervasive. Evading controversial issues and seeking to please men, rather than God has become the norm. It is the disgraceful failure of most churches that has enabled this triumph of secular humanism and paganism to hijack what were once great Christian countries.

A Shallow Understanding of History
Americans continually refer to the previous generation as the greatest generation. That is doubtless an existential exaggeration, which ignores the spectacular achievements of previous generations of pioneers and Reformers of earlier centuries. However, while one can only respect the courage of those who went through the Second World War, one cannot speak as highly of their discernment, or policies. It was this previous generation that allowed the Ten Commandments to be taken off the walls of American Schools. For The Lord's Prayer to be dropped. For Bible Education to be removed. For evolutionism, situation ethics, and now perverted sex-education, to be made compulsory, even in primary schools. Abortion was legalised and homosexual 'marriage' promoted, under their watch.

Catastrophic Collapse of Civilisation
The past two generations have seen a cataclysmic collapse of almost every standard of Christian civilisation. A lack of understanding of history and of the teachings of the Bible are at the foundation of all this. History is far more than what has happened in just the last century. Unless we have an understanding of the whole sweep of history - for at least the last 2,000 years - we cannot possibly understand the times and know what God's people should do.

Understanding History is Key
However, the average Christian is hostile to history. Frequently they cite a negative experience at school. Well, of course, secular humanism refused to acknowledge the sovereignty of God in history and therefore does not see the patterns, or lessons, to be learned in history. Therefore a whole jumble of unrelated dates, names and places are thrown at poor students in the average government school, until they learn to hate the subject of history. But true history, understood from a Biblical perspective, is fascinating, interesting, relevant and empowering. We certainly need far more Providential History Festivals.

Reforming Worship
Dominion Covenant Church, the hosts for the Providential History Festival, are an inspiring example of a congregation which is taking God's Word seriously. The first thing I noticed was how well everyone was dressed at this family integrated service. The next thing was how the music team lead from behind the congregation. So as not to distract the congregation, the musicians were placed at the rear of the building. Psalms, hymns, responsive Scripture readings, and the Lord's Supper preceded the sermon. I preached on 1 Kings 18: "How long will you falter?"

Hunger for Revival
The fellowship over lunch lasted for the rest of the afternoon, with vigorous Biblical discussions. Even when we returned to the pastor's house in the evening, the discussions with congregation members continued close to midnight. If only more congregations in America were as deep in doctrine, as fervent in worship and as earnest in prayer, Evangelism and missionary vision, then the USA would not be in the crisis it finds itself in now.

Wretched
From Omaha, I flew to Atlanta, Georgia, where I was hosted by Todd Friel of Wretched Radio and TV. The next day was packed with radio and TV interviews and recordings. In the evening I presented four lectures before a live audience in the studios. These, along with the question and answer discussion times that followed, were filmed and these will be edited into programmes for broadcast.

Truths that Transform
From Atlanta, I travelled through to Fort Lauderdale for ministry with Dr. Jerry Newcombe of Truth in Action Ministries. This involved recordings for TV for the Kennedy Classics and on radio with Grace Net. The New Presbyterian Church also invited me to give a presentation on the Persecution of the Church in North Africa and what we can do to help serve the suffering.

Virginia
In Harrisonburg, Virginia, I had the privilege of ministering at Providence Baptist Church as a guest of Pastor Lloyd Sprinkle. Pastor Sprinkle has been in the ministry for over 50 years and runs a publishing house re-printing great classics from previous centuries. After three services on Sunday, I flew to Phoenix, Arizona, to be welcomed by my parents-in-law, Rev. Bill and Harriett Bathman.

<div class='galleryImageHolder' style='position:relative; My presentations were on The Church Council and History Revisited, The Church's Great Global Task and its Need for Reformation, How the New World Order is Hijacking Civilisation, and Resisting Babylon and the Beast.

Christian Youth Revolution
On Saturday evening, I sat down with a group called the Christian Youth Revolution and answered three hours of questions in a time of open discussion. This gave me a sense of hope for America, that it has dedicated young people like these. If only the average youth group in America could have such depth of understanding of Biblical doctrine, history and of current affairs! However, unfortunately, these young people are now the exception, rather than the norm.

Congregations with a Missionary Vision
On Sunday, I had the privilege of ministering with a dedicated Presbyterian congregation. My message was on Christian Courage. The fellowship at the pastor's home carried on until late that night. During the next week, I had numerous home fellowships and church services with Russian, Ukrainian and Romanian Baptist Christians. On every occasion, the times of questions and open discussions went on for hours after the meetings. One Prayer Rally was packed with enthusiastic young people dedicated to praying for Revival.

History Conference
My final commitment was at The Old Paths Christian History Conference, where I ministered on Rediscovering the Christian Work Ethic, Learning from Switzerland, Modern Idols for Destruction, and The Battle for South Africa. The fellowship was great. If only more churches were as dedicated as these believers!

Praying for Reformation and Revival in America
America needs our earnest prayers. It is tragic that such a great Christian nation has been hijacked by secular humanists and perverts. Without a major Holy Spirit inspired Revival, the country seems doomed. Pray for those faithful believers and dynamic ministries which are striving to win their country back to Christ. Let us be Faithful to the Word of God, bold in His service and fervent in our intercession.

Yours for the fulfilment of the Great Commission

Dr. Peter Hammond
Frontline Fellowship
P.O.
