The Greatest Century of Reformation Our new, revised and expanded edition of The Greatest Century of Reformation has returned from the printers. Its 288 pages are packed with over 200 historic pictures and maps, 20 chapters and 16 appendices. The Reformation 500 Audio MP3, Data and DVD four-disc boxset has also been completed, including 14 films, 23 audio lectures, 13 PowerPoint presentations and a PDF of The Greatest Century of Reformation book. This boxset’s lectures, chapters, pictures and presentations represent 12 years of research and work to collect, compile, systematise and shape these character studies on 16 great Reformers of the 16th Century, as well as doctrines, events and personalities who shaped the Greatest Century of Reformation. Mission to Europe The vision for Reformation 500 grew out of my Mission to Europe in 2005. In five weeks, I ministered in 11 countries, as far afield as Northern Ireland, Poland and Romania. Highlights were visiting and ministering in Wittenberg, Germany and Zürich and Geneva in Switzerland. It was then that the vision of mobilising Reformation 500 events to focus on these historic milestones developed. Later that year, I discussed with Dr. R. C. Sproul, the need for a Reformation Study Bible and the need for special conferences, leading up to 31 October 2017. Standing before the Reformation monuments in Geneva it also struck me that we were only four years away from the 500th anniversary of the birth of John Calvin and thus the Calvin 500 Celebrations were born. I met with and wrote to many Reformed leaders I knew, including Dr. Joel Beeke, Dr. Gary de Mar, Dr. Jay Grimstead, Dr. Jerry Newcombe, Rev. Ian Paisley and many others and received favourable responses for both the Calvin 500 and Reformation 500 initiatives. In 2009, I conducted Calvin 500 Seminars and Conferences throughout the United States of America, Europe, South Africa and Zambia. 95 Theses for Reformation Today Five years ago, we published 95 Theses for Reformation Today. These have now been translated into German, French, Afrikaans, Dutch and Spanish. These can be viewed, downloaded and printed in leaflet form from our www.ReformationSA.org website. Reformation 500 Facebook The Reformation 500 Facebook page has, over the last five years, challenged and inspired, with thousands of people engaged on social media on any given week.
